Ezekiel 18:1-4, 31-32
Ezekiel 18 is a profound reflection on the relationship between God’s justice and human freedom. Among the exiles in Babylon, Ezekiel begins by quoting a popular slogan which our modern ears may find familiar: "The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge."
