Revelation 2: 18 - 28

In each of the seven letters in Revelation chapters 2-3, Christ emphasizes one essential quality that every local church should possess. Along with love (Ephesus), a willingness to suffer for Christ's sake (Smyrna), loyalty to the truth of the gospel (Pergamum), God's people must be known for their holiness (Thyatira). Being holy means being unique, different, set apart. By living holy lives, Christians individually and collectively can stand out in a crooked and dark world.
